An Unani Doctor is a professional physician who has acquired knowledge of medicine from the school of Homoeopathy. An Unani doctor will diagnose patients and give them Unani medication (only approved as per Homoeopathy and recognised by Indian medicine association).

Work environment

Two things on this card do not match how Unani medicine is actually taught in India, and are reproduced as printed rather than silently corrected: the description calls Unani a branch of "the school of Homoeopathy" (it is a distinct AYUSH system), and the pathway lists M.B.B.S./M.D. where the Unani qualification is normally a B.U.M.S. followed by an M.D. (Unani) — the card's own field example holds a B.U.M.S. Verify the route and eligibility on the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the institute's official website.
