Work environment

Shanti Teresa Lakra — An Indian medical nurse, known for her tremendous service to the Onge tribe in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. After completing her studies in Nursing, Shanti started her career in 2001, as an Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife. In 2011, the Government of India awarded Lakra with 'Padma Shri' for her services to Onge tribe, specially in the aftermath of the Tsunami of 2004.
